Lincoln Today is a 112-page magazine that promotes Lincoln, Nebraska. It’s used as a recruiting tool by local schools and businesses and there is a copy in each hotel room in Lincoln. The Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau and Chamber of Commerce have adopted it as well. I have designed Lincoln Today in its entirety since its start more than 20 years ago and have been an editor since 2015. We feature the spectacular photos of Tom Tidball. Designing this magazine is a joy.
I design brochures and annual reports for many non-profit foundations. These are a few of my favorite projects.
Bison, Inc. manufactures sports, parks and recreation equipment for an international market. These are just a few of the catalog covers I have designed for them. Each design illustrates “A Goal for Every Game” and the more than 10 sports that Bison supports. It is amazing to see how the company has grown since I first began designing their catalog more than 10 years ago.
“For many years, Rayna’s creativity has played a very important role in the look and feel of our print materials for the sporting goods industry and outdoor power equipment market. With limited input from our staff, she has the ability to take a quick-and-dirty concept and run with it, which saves us time and money, without sacrificing the professional look our customers have come to expect from us.”

Here I have a poster celebrating the University of Nebraska Cornhusker Football Team and 2 posters I designed for the UNL School of Journalism’s conference on human trafficking.
These are just a few of the logos I have designed.
Here I’ve included a brochure that celebrates a Lincoln architecture firm’s 100 year anniversary; 2 quarterly coupon magazines that feature small, locally-owned businesses; a holiday catalog for a business that sells products from Nebraska; 2 items for a physical therapy office; a magazine ad for an industrial valve manufacturer; a dealer sign for an international lawn equipment company and a logo and packaging for a fine jewelry company and more.
I have designed many logos, brochures, mailers, newspaper ads and pocket folders for regional banks and financial institutions. These are a few.
Amigos Restaurants is a locally-owned group of restaurants that happily allows me to let loose with color. They were my first client in Nebraska and I love their food! Kopeli Coffee is a part of each Amigos Restaurant.
“I have worked with Rayna since she started her freelance business. There are only a few things that make you stay with one designer for such a long time – talent, flexibility, and the fact that Rayna is so easy to work with. She has great ideas, but unlike many designers, she doesn’t get defensive about doing things a certain way. She listens to the client to hear what they want and need, and then she just makes it happen.”

SourceOne Outdoor Power Equipment manufactures aerators and other turf equipment. This is another company I have been privileged to work with as they have grown over the years. These are some of the catalog covers and pages I have designed for them.

Inkognito (Inkognito.de), a lovely card company in Berlin sells my card designs worldwide.
These are my card illustrations that I like—but were rejected by commercial card companies. You can buy them at LonelyCards on Etsy.com. Please give a lonely card its forever home.
Wonderwise, funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, was a project I worked on with the University of Nebraska State Museum. The project’s goal was to encourage an interest in science among 4th grade girls. Each kit showcased an individual scientist and her field of study. They contained a biography, an activity book, a video, and the items needed for each activity. There was a very small art budget for these projects, so I got quite creative with the graphics, which also had to be scientifically accurate. Dr. Judy Diamond, the project director, was happy with the results—and so was I.
